Staff Software Engineer – Block, Inc (Square)8/25–present
- As a Design Systems Engineer within the Web Platform UI team, I engineer and coordinate the React migration of the Market (web) design system through data-driven strategy and high-performance component architecture. I defined our coverage metrics system and the project sequence for our migration to unlock the fastest value.
- Additionally I authored a 44% reduction in our theme CSS bundle size (72KB → 40KB) by implementing a
light-dark() CSS token structures; refactored our Theme specification to unblock teams that distributed our library in their own; and spearheaded the incremental adoption of TypeScript's strict checks in our legacy codebase, resolving over 400 existing errors across 100+ files and preventing critical production bugs in core components.
Principal Software Engineer – Atlas, a HuntClub Co.5/24–7/25
- As the sole UX engineer on a 10-person Series B dev team, my role was to build a best-in-class SAAS platform that transforms how you use your network and find a path to opportunities. I'm the one ultimately responsible for making sure the app is usable, performant, compelling, and engaging.
- Plan, build, and test new features in NextJS + Typescript while continually synthesizing team ideas, customer feedback sessions, and customer success stories into planned projects.
Staff Engineer – Wayfair, inc'17–'24
- Tech Lead, Accessibility Squad (A11y) – I defined compliance success for legal, engineering, and product leadership (VP+) while teaching scrum teams how to find and fix A11y issues across all customer-facing experiences. I implemented testing (react) and metrics (nodejs) libraries for tracking compliance regressions in DataDog. Conceived, authored, and optimized CI/CD performance (buildkite) and contributed core fixes to the Homebase Design System used by all apps.
- Homebase Design System Lead– I implemented ReactJS features and reviewed the structure, interface, and performance of my team's code. Worked hands-on with dev teams to ensure consistent releases and manage upgrades.
- For the Frontend Architecture team, I authored the CSS styling system (tooling, standards, and linting) used in 6 brands and geos, supporting ~20M active customers and used by all engineers.
- Co-founded the CSS-HTML Working Group to establish coding standards, linting, and guidelines for 1,000+ person engineering organization. Developed materials and assessments to onboard 100's of new engineers and assess candidates.
Engineering Manager – Wayfair, inc'16–'17
- Managed a scrum team of 5 engineers and was responsible for their professional development and product delivery. Coordinated with stakeholders to understand diverse product requirements and delegate ownership
- Tech Lead for B2b and Content Management System tooling. Prioritized requirements for launching major promotions.

- Engineer of 16 person frontend team implementing new business features and maintaining consistency, state, and performance of 6 large-scale e-commerce brands built from a shared codebase
